Verna Margaret Falk

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother Verna Falk age 81 years, after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at the Vita and District Health Centre.

She was predeceased by her parents Nick and Mary Chornopyski, her brother Edward and son-in-law Murray.

Verna will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 59 years: Earl, daughters: Jacqueline, Angela, and Monique (Andy), grandchildren: Kayla (Chris), Leanne, great granddaughter: Kenzie, brother: Wilmer (Gail) and sister: Doris (Ronnie) as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Verna was a woman of small stature, with a gigantic personality. The strength and resilience she possessed helped her over come many life challenges, at times defying all odds!!! She was quick witted, feisty and humorous which carried her through difficult times and encouraged so many others. Verna was a woman of deep faith who has earned her Angel Wings. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the medical staff of Vita and Steinbach Regional Health Centres, for their care and compassion shown during Verna's multiple stays.
