Tannis Lynn Saunders

July 13, 1977 — March 22, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our mom, sister, daughter, aunty, grandma, and friend on March 22nd, 2025.

She will be forever loved and remembered by her parents Randy and Elizabeth Saunders; her sisters, Justina and Korah Saunders; her nieces and nephews, Eric, Melany, Travis, Mikayla, Randi, Thomas, Zakary, Daniel and Julia; her children Dylan (Allie), Jade (Connor) and Dalton; her grandchildren Zayden, Mckinley, Haisley and Axel; her boyfriend Marty Yatsko. As well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Mom was born July 13,1977 at St. Boniface hospital in Winnipeg MB; she was raised in St. Andrews and then the Tyndall area. Mom was such an outgoing person no matter where she was and who she was with. She was a hard worker and always provided for her kids and tried to give them the best. She was loved wherever she went. Everyone knew her and had a memory and/or a story. If you were with Tannis or around her there was always a picture to prove it, our mom took pictures of everything and anything from a rock in the road, to animals in the ditch, to getting a selfie with you, even if you didn’t want to. She always had to have a picture. Mom moved to Alberta in 2013, and she loved every minute of being so close to the mountains. Any day off she had, she was in Jasper going to the same 5 places and making sure to snap a picture every single time, no matter if it looked the same, and she already had 1000 of that same spot already. She had to get a new one every time she went.

Mom had a deep love and happiness for her children and grandchildren. She would brag and talk so highly of all of us to anyone who would listen. She would show pictures of everyone, to anyone who would look. She would have done anything for any of us. Our mom took care of us and any of our friends who were in her house, with food, games or anything we could have needed. Mom’s house was "the house" growing up. She also had a deep passion for gardening. Mom always had the best garden in town whether it was flowers, or vegetables it was her favourite past time. If she wasn’t watering her garden, she was having fires in her backyard with her friends.

Mom will be forever loved and missed, and we all will always continue to take photos of everything and anything.

Cremation will take place, and a private service will be held at a later date.
