Paul Legal

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, pépère, brother, and friend Paul Legal, at the age of 74, on March 13, 2023, at Ste. Anne Hospital, surrounded by his loved ones.

Paul was predeceased by his parents, Henri and Marie-Anne Legal, his son Joseph, brothers George, Louis, Francois, Michel and Gerard and sisters Germaine, Yvonne, and Celine.

He will be missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Marie-Louise, his children Rachelle (Scott), Carole (Gerald), and Robert (Debbie). His grandchildren Amelie (Shane), Fenway, Madison (Kyle), Mackenzie, Cole, Austin and Fawna. Along with his great grandchildren Colbie, Brogan, Darwin and Esher. Brother-in-law and dear friend Gerard Gauthier. Siblings Claire, Marie-Rose, Lucienne (Frank), Claude (Irma), Jean, and Gilberte (Lee), and many nieces and nephews. Along with his good friends Edna Cechvala, Gerry and Olga Nicolas, and Harold and Mary from Texas.

Paul grew up in Ste. Genevieve where countless memories were made on the Legal homestead. Paul worked as an upholsterer, roofer, a dockhand, freight deliverer, and the majority of his life as a long-haul trucker for Yankee and Bison Transport. He enjoyed reading, camping, computer games and bantering with mom.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Crossings Funeral Care. The family kindly ask that guest refrain from the use of perfumes and colognes due to allergies and sensitivities within the family.
