Peacefully, with family by her side, Mary Harder age 84 passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at the Bethesda Regional Health Centre.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Harder on March 14, 2006, her daughter-in-law Sandra Harder (1992), brother Abe Friesen, one sister in infancy, her parents as well as numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Mom will be deeply missed by her children George (Anne) Harder, Henry (Marlene) Harder, Alvina (Richard) Dyck, Susie Harder, Fran Harder, Leona (Roland) Szyska, her 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, as well as her 5 sisters, 1 sister-in-law and their families.
Mom was born in the RM of Hanover on April 3, 1936, growing up on the family farm in Ile de Chenes Mb. with 5 sisters and one brother. She married the love of her life Frank Harder on July 21, 1957. Together they raised their 6 children on a farm in Randolph Mb.
Mom and dad sold their farm in 1986 retiring to their new home in Kleefeld Mb. Together they developed their hobbies, building and painting many keepsakes and treasures, which fill the homes of family and friends. In 2005 mom moved to Woodhaven during dad’s illness, where she spent her remaining years.
Mom was an active member of her church, serving in various capacities through out her life. Her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 31, 2020 at the New Bothwell Sommerfeld Church with public viewing 1 hour prior to the service. Interment and reception to follow.
