It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Margaret Zema (nee: Henzie).
Margaret Jean Zema passed unexpectedly, yet peacefully, on October 13, 2023.
She leaves to mourn her husband Len, her sons Daniel (Kristen) and Michael (Lesley), her daughter Theresa (Dwayne), brother Jack Henzie (Debbie) and granddaughters Kaitlyn (Caleb), Kira (Alex), Lainey and Addison and great-grandchildren Azalea, Nova and Meryk.
She is predeceased by her parents Jean Winslow (Ron) and Daniel Henzie.
Margaret’s life was full and always had something on the go, most often it was time with her husband spent fishing, going out to dinner or playing bingo, watching movies and visiting with friends and family.
Family was of the utmost importance to her and whether it was buying a thoughtful trinket or just making a phone call to her children, family was always her in thoughts.
At Margaret’s core was the constant call to care, for her family, for her friends or anyone in need. It was present in her life’s work as an LPN at the Concordia Hospital. She loved unconditionally and was always there in times of need.
A great lover of animals, Margaret doted on her many pets. They brought her constant joy and comfort. She loved the outdoors, was an avid reader and very much enjoyed watching a good movie or TV series
