Lloyd Pederson

Lloyd Pederson of Menisino, MB passed away January 1, 2024, at the age of 79 after a sudden decline in health.

He was predeceased by his parents Peter and Ingaborg Pederson, siblings Maurice, Palmer, Grace, Parnell, Clara, and Ivan. 

Lloyd is lovingly remembered and will be sadly missed by his wife Marilyn, 3 children, Tamie (Tony), Bryan and Mike (Lynnette), 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, his sisters Bernice and Joyce and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lloyd was born in Menisino on August 18, 1944. He met his wife Marilyn in 1966 and married her on June 17, 1967. Shortly after, Lloyd and Marilyn left Manitoba so Lloyd could pursue work in Richmond BC. About 5 years and three children later, they decided to move back to their roots in Menisino.

Lloyd was an avid lover of music; he played many different instruments, but the fiddle was his favourite. In his younger days he enjoyed playing music at family gatherings with his children, friends and brothers and all-around southern Manitoba with his bandmates. He enjoyed all things Norwegian but especially the food. He shared an interest in learning the Norwegian language and often ended a conversation with “Jeg elsker deg” meaning “I love you.”

He will be greatly missed by many.

The family would like to thank everyone for all their kindness and support during this difficult time.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
