LaVerna Wiebe

LaVerna Wiebe passed away peacefully on February 22nd, 2024, at the age of 77, after a long and difficult battle with cancer.

She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter Lorna (Chris) and five sons, David (Lilianne), Dennis (Doris), Harold (Maryann), Adam (Jennifer) and Markus (Mary), 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, also one sister and one brother and their families and many nieces, nephews and friends. 

She was predeceased by her husband Abraham Wiebe, her parents David H and Anna (nee Klassen) Goertzen, her parents in-law Peter B and Agatha (nee Funk) Wiebe, one brother in infancy, 3 sisters-in-law and their spouses, and one brother-in-law and his spouse.

The funeral service will be held on February 29th at 2:30 p.m. at the Chortizer Mennonite Church in Grunthal, Mb with burial after the service at the Grunthal Cemetery. There will be viewing one hour prior to the service. 

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at De Salaberry District Health Centre for the care provided for our dear mother during a most difficult time.
