It is with deep sadness that Donna announces the passing of her loving husband Joseph Olah, on Sunday, June 21, 2020, at the age of 71 years, after a lengthy and painful illness.
Joe was predeceased by his father Jozsef, mother Rozalia, and his sister Sue.
He leaves to cherish his many memories, his loving wife of 20 years, Donna; his daughter Kristine (Keith) Friesen, his sons, Joseph (Teresa) Scott, and Shawn Whalen. As well as the many caring friends who came to visit Joe at the hospital during his final stay. Dave (Reena) Normandale, Neil (Glenda) Kravetsky, Lori (Nick) Runkowsky, and Lisa (Max) Castro. Donna would like to thank you for your love, care and support.
Joe’s life was also filled with many years of family disappointments and betrayal. From his brother Zoltan, sisters Rosemary, Kathy, and his children Justin and Stephanie.
Joe was a dental technician for over 40 years, and operated his own dental lab, “Olah Dental Studio Inc.”. He sold the business and had to retire in 2014 after being diagnosed with a very serious congestive heart condition. Joe was also involved in teaching Hungarian folk dancing and culture. He loved and enjoyed his life with Donna, together they traveled to Las Vegas many times throughout the years, as well as enjoying many cruises to their favorite destinations.
A private funeral service will be held to honor and celebrate Joe’s life on Friday, June 26, 2020, at Crossings Funeral Care, Steinbach, MB. Burial to follow on Saturday, June 27, 2020.
Donna would like to thank Dr. Minnaar, Dr. Dueck and staff at the Bethesda Regional Heath Centre, as well as the staff at the Vita District Health Centre for the exceptional care shown during Joe’s lengthy stay.
Joe, may God bless you on your journey, and give you the rest and peace you so deserve.
