Hannelore Hoff

Hannelore Brigitte Hoff, age 82, passed away peacefully April 12, 2020 at Morris General Hospital in Morris, Manitoba, Canada.

She was born on February 20th 1938 in Tilsit, Germany to Artur and Emma Wiese. She married her longtime friend and love, Fred Hoff, in July of 1960 in Germany, who preceded her in death in 2016.

In 1964, Hannelore and her husband followed their passion for Canada and relocated from Germany to Winnipeg, Manitoba to fulfill their dreams. Hannelore loved the great outdoors, to work in her garden and always having her dogs around. For many years, Hannelore worked in different careers. Remembered as a business owner, she worked tirelessly to serve her customers. She would always say: “Do what’s right and do what’s good. Be kind and help others. The world can always use one more kind person.”

Hannelore always welcomed visitors and her hospitality was overwhelming as well as her charitable donations. Living by her favorite Bible verse, Revelation 3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

Hannelore is survived by family in Germany her brother Klaus, his wife Ulrike, children Jasmin and Simon; her brother Juergen his wife Marilyn, daughter Savannah; her sister Brigitte and husband Theo, children Christina and Stefan. All of these she loved deeply.

We also like to extend our thanks to her friend Marilyn and her family, the staff and all friends at Resthaven and the staff at the Morris General Hospital.

Please join us in celebrating her life on Thursday, April 16, 2020. A come and go viewing will be held from 11:00 am – 1:30 pm. A private service will be held at 2:00 pm at Crossings Funeral Care.
