It is with profound sadness that the family announce the sudden passing of our wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother Glennis Kaczmarski, age 75, on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at the Bethesda Regional Health Centre.
Glennis was predeceased by her father Berton Sims, her brothers Sam, Larry and Donald, her sister Cindy.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Jan; her children Tammy, Terry, Tonya, and Jan Jr.; her grandchildren Dewane, LaDawna, Gordon, Debbie, Charlie, Kellen, and Robbie; her great-grandchildren Eric, Matthew, Johnathon, Alanna, Taven, Blake, Isabelle, Adalynn, Tyler, and Lucas. As well as close friends and extended family.
Glennis had a heart for others, she would always go above and beyond to assist others in their time of need. She was known as a strong grandmother, and was not afraid to speak her mind as she stood up for others. Glennis was a very talented seamstress her creations where displayed in local fashion shows and parades. Glennis worked faithfully to maintain relationships with family even when it required her to fight with the provincial government, becoming one of the first to obtain grandparental rights within the Manitoba Foster System. Her family was her greatest accomplishment.
A private celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Crossings Funeral Care, Steinbach, MB. Due to limited restrictions, a live stream of the service will be available for those who would like to participate in the service.
