Doug Pearson passed away with his wife by his side on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at the Ste. Anne hospital after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He will be greatly missed by his family, his wife; Karyn, his four sons and their children; Steven & Adulia (Cassandra and Lilia), Phillip & Jackie, Jonathan and Micah & Sam (Kal). Both of Doug's parents have passed on.
Doug was born in 1957 and grew up in Winnipeg. Although he gave his life to Christ at a young age, he struggled as a teenager to live out his faith, it wasn't until the age of 27 when he recommitted his life back to Christ. He married Karyn in 1985 and together they had four sons.
When Doug first heard the diagnosis of brain cancer, he responded by saying, "you know, I've had a good life. I have lived the dream, raised four incredible sons and I know where I'm going". Doug's dream was to run his own business. He ran an aircraft restoration business out of his shop on his property for 15 years.
Doug had four passions in life: faith, family, business and ministry. He worked hard, loved his family and served the church. He will be sorely missed by those who knew him and loved him.
A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Church of the Rock, 1397 Buffalo Pl, Winnipeg Manitoba. The service will start at 2PM with a viewing 1 hour prior to the service and a light reception following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doug's memory to Teen Challenge, Winnipeg.
