Carol a devoted housewife and animal lover, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2020 at the age of 62 years, after a lengthy 9-month battle with lung cancer.
Carol was predeceased by her parents, George and Doris Wilson, as well as her brother James.
Carol will be deeply missed by her longtime partner Philip Moseley, her brother William, as well as the many friends she made in Kenora and Piney.
Carol was born in Winnipeg to George and Doris Wilson, she was the youngest of 3 children. Carol and Philip met in 2000. In 2003 Carol and Philip moved to Kenora to start a new life together where Carol raised chickens. Her love for animals was evident, she rescued many parrots and dogs which she loved with a passion. Carol loved the rural setting and made her mark on the community where she lived. Carol was a very creative cook trying new recipes and serving them to family and friends. After many years in the Kenora area, Carol and Philip moved back to south eastern Manitoba purchasing a small homestead in Piney, Mb.
Carol’s love for animals and the rural setting allowed her to expand and start a horse rescue. She would train and tame the horses. It wouldn’t take long before the horses would respond in a loving manner allowing her to give them kisses as she fed them oats. What a joy it was too watch.
According to Carol’s request a small graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm in the Holy Family Cemetery 4355 Main Street, West St. Paul, on Friday, February 28, 2020. For those who would like to express their condolences to Philip, there will be a gathering from at 11:00 am – 12:00 pm, at Crossings Funeral Care, 40 North Gate Drive, Steinbach, Mb, followed by a procession to the cemetery for the graveside service.
Rest in Peace Carol, you’re in heaven now forever more.
Love Philip
