With great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our Husband, Dad, Opa, Brother, and Uncle. He will always be lovingly remembered by his wife Johanna; his three kids Trevor (Jenn), Michael (Kirstie), and Alicia (Darin) and the three grandchildren that he is so proud of Jacob, Paxton, and Leighton, which he wore on his sleeve.
Blaise, a proud Cape Bretoner, loved his family. He enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting, and tinkering on his toys. He could often be seen riding down Hwy 105 on his motorcycle with his jacket that reads “Crazy Opa on the Road” with pictures of his grandchildren on his bike. A reminder to ride safe. He truly loved his family.
Blaise also had a soft spot for animals. While riding down the highway he saw a little box move, he went to see, and there was a little kitten in it. Well, home came that kitten. This also happened with a baby skunk and a baby fox which were not allowed to be pets. He would never leave anyone behind to fend for themselves; he was always willing to help in any way possible.
Blaise was an underground miner for most of his life. He enjoyed his bartending at the Ear Falls Legion and being security at the Trout Forest Music Festival. Blaise could fix almost anything. Johanna always said it was her job to break things and Blaise’s to fix them.
Blaise, you will be forever missed and never forgotten.
